Normally, I’m not the kind of guy who brags. But, today is very special, as Video Crypt is celebrating its 10th. Anniversary. Where did the last ten years go! In the Fall of 1996, I was completely drained after 30-plus years in the music business (Hey, I started young!). I decided to switch from music to films. Video Crypt made its debut as a newsletter/fanzine just before the Halloween Chiller of 1996. We gave away hundreds of issues that weekend. VC limped along in the printed format through 1998, when we then made our first attempt at going online. Didn’t work out very well and it seemed as if Video Crypt wouldn’t survive. Fortunately, my pal Rob Weiss came along and redesigned the site. A new improved Video Crypt was up and running in late 2000. Hopefully, we’ll be here for many more years. I just want to thank Bruce Anderson for taking photos, Rob Weiss for handling the technical problems, and Karen for putting up with the ever growing mountain of DVDs. Most of all, thanks to you, the readers, for your comments.
